Engaging in an investigation of the inn’s animal problem and culminating in setting the stable afire, Sezzur and Zanatari set off in pursuit of a lone mysterious figure.

Zanatari and Sezzur hit the road in an attempt to reach the Kalashtar homeland. Along the way they decide to spend the night at an inn and have a number of experiences that almost leave them on pins and needles… and on fire.

Zanatari and Sezzur spend some time solving the personal mystery of the mine tunnel in Winterhaven. In a way, they also uncomfortably realize that Winterhaven has also become their growing child.

Sezzur has a sudden desire to rise to higher office in Winterhaven, only to find his campaign already being undermined.
